We are a small bird farm specializing in producing premium quality hackle for the dry fly. Our feather quality can't be beat, with stems that are long, thin and extremely flexible. The items pictured in our store are the actual items purchased except leaders, which are in various colors.
Quantities are limited, so get your orders in early! If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, we will gladly exchange it or promptly refund your money. Check back often for your fly tying capes.
Necks

- Grade 1 - This grade will tie the widest range of sizes and the greatest number of flies. Typically, these capes will tie from size 2 to size 30.
- Grade 2 - The best value. This will tie down to the smaller sizes, but will not tie as many as the grade 1. The majority of the feathers on these capes will tie in the 12 to 18 size range. We will split two colors of your choice at no additional charge, but only in grade 2.
- Grade 3 - This grade will tie a wide range of sizes, but will typically tie less of the smaller sizes and more of the larger sizes.

Saddles

- Grade 1 - This grade will tie the highest number of flies because the length of each feather is the longest. Sizes run from 10 to 14.
- Grade 2 - This grade will still tie the same quality and size of dry fly as a Grade 1. The only difference is fewer flies, because the feathers are shorter.
- Grade 3 - This grade will also tie the same quality and size of dry fly as a Grade 1 and a Grade 2, but fewer flies per feather.

Hens

The hens include both cape and saddle, untrimmed, so you can take advantage of the larger sizes and shapes. The hen feathers are especially popular with tier's who need feathers for large soft hackles.

JV Hens

JV hens are produced for the feather size by request of our customers. These feathers can be used for cut or uncut wings on wet and dry flies, and are especially popular in this smaller size for tying soft hackle flies, replacing wild game bird feathers that have thicker stems making them more difficult to wrap. Like our hens, these are full cape and saddle skins. |
JV Roosters

The JV Roosters are produced in very limited quantities. Like our JV Hens, they are produced for feather size, by request from our customers. |
Eared Pheasants

The spey hackle, these were produced to take the place of the Heron. The majority of the flight feathers provide a smoky grey hurl for various dry flies. The long fibered body hackles, are the characteristic component of the traditional Spey and Dee Patterns. We have produced, through our breeding a pastel color, which is closer to the emulation of the heron, and they are available only one time of year, usually January and February. They go fast, so check often. |
Furled Leaders

The furled tapered leaders are tied by us and used by us. They come in various sizes and in 2 weights. 5 weight and above and the 5 weight and below, and in various colors. |
